Florida has just kicked off the 2020 season on the road at Ole Miss against first year Rebel head coach, Lane Kiffin. Mullen, who spent 2009-2017 as the head coach at Mississippi State, is very familiar with the Ole Miss Rebels and trips to Vaught Hemingway Stadium.
On ESPN’s College Gameday, Mullen described how he was welcomed back to The Grove now as the Florida head coach compared to wearing Marron and White and representing the Mississippi State Bulldogs for The Egg Bowl
Instead of being told he’s “number one”, he was greeted with more friendly gestures and waves in pre-game. We’ll see how those folks send him off AFTER today’s game.
That might not be as hospitable as the welcome he received in pre-game.
